Seriously Wordy Artwork - Willow's Violin
Created in 2015, this was the first musical instrument that Gordon presented as a work of micrography. The piece itself is formed entirely from the names of 122 Luthiers, (Stringed Instrument makers) who were selected from a 200 year period.
Gordon created this one from an image of his daughter's violin after whom this piece is named.
Andre Rieu has the original of this item in his collection, Andre is the ultimate entertainer for all lovers of good music as it should be played, to enjoy!
Also come with this artwork is separate sheets of all 122 names of the famous violin markers from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.
It makes a unique and ideal gift for the guitarists in your family or friends. This print is reproduced from the original hand-drawn artwork by Gordon from Seriously Wordy.
This print is ready to be framed and make a classical and elegant wall art in any music studio.
This is an A4 print with hard cardboard ready to be framed.
A little history, the use of tiny/micro writing goes back at least 4000 years and Mesopotamia where they created small clay tablets known as Cuneiform Tablets and on which were hand-etched tiny hieroglyphics. Since those times the use of this form of communication spread widely throughout the Middle East, it wasn't long before the technique caught the interest of the artists of this world with examples to be found in various religions including Hebrew, Muslim, Catholic and Pagan.
Our local artist Gordon from the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has taken up the examples set by others and now is a full-time word artist with his works finding their way into homes and studios throughout the world.
Most of our orders will be delivered to the east coast of Australia within a week. During the pandemic and lockdown, delivery can be delayed for up to one week. |
